ABOUT

STUDIES & EMPLOYEMENT

All started in my hometown near Barcelona, where I started studying solfège and piano. Later on, I moved to Conservatori del Liceu in BCN to keep going with the musical studies. From 2013 to 2018, studied the Music Composition Bachelor in Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). Besides, also studied in the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.

In terms of employment, I have worked doing transcriptions and arrangements of all kinds of music for the American company “Tunescribers”. In addition, I have worked on commissions for renowned choirs such as PAX Cor de Cambra, Cor Albada and Coral Laetare.

Nowadays, I combine the creation of melodies and harmonies with the teaching task of trying to stick some love and affection for music in future generations.

AWARDS

In 2017, I was awarded with the Special Mention for the best work on Catalan text, in the 2nd International Choral Music Competition «Festa de la Música Coral».

In 2018, awarded (ex-aequo) in the Mixed Voices Choir SATB category in the Catalunya Young Composition Competition.

In 2018, awarded with a Mention in the Joan Maragall 1st Composition Competition.

In addition, my music has been heard in emblematic places such as the Palau de la Música (Barcelona), Villa Gyllenberg (Helsinki) and in Lithuania.

APTITUDES

I’ve basically been taught in piano, solfège, harmony and choir singing since I started studying music.

About original compositions, I do mostly write for choir, although I have also written for various instruments. In addition, I have also put music to audiovisual projects like videogames or short films.

Besides, I enjoy writing arrangements of any kind of music. I’ve arranged from choir music to Japanese anime soundtracks, so I feel comfortable dealing with different kind of styles.
